Pat Thornton Emenyonu
Evan was the only person who attended both elementary and high school with me. The whole 12 years. Gambier was a small town and all the "faculty brats" were close. After college and the Peace Corps, I lost touch. It was when I returned to the US from Nigeria where I had taught in tertiary institutions for 20 years and raised my 4 children, that we were able to reconnect by phone and mail. I attended our 50 Year Reunion hoping that I would see him there, but that was not to be. I knew he had been moved to Mt Vernon because of health, but hoped that reunion would happen the next time round. Thank you, Lorinda for letting me know that he had passed. I hope to make it to the church though I will have just returned from South Carolina where I will be celebrating the 80th birthday of Caroline Black Utley, another Gambier "faculty brat". I love the picture posted, Elise, and the obituary.
