Obituary

Bob “ZigZag” Smith, age 71, of Columbus, passed away on Sunday, November 1, 2020

He was born on July 16, 1949 in Columbus, Ohio to John F. and Colleen (Hern) Smith.

Bob was a lifelong musician playing with bands, Lapse of Time, Liaja, Diablo, Jewel, U.S. Army band and the Alligators which opened for James Brown.

He was a car auto body technician for hot rod's and high end cars.

Bob owned a 1973 red MG which he proudly attended car shows with. He enjoyed riding his Harley and woodworking.

Bob is survived by his son, Sean (Michele) Smith; brother, Donald (Deborah) Smith; grandchildren, Rene Belcher, Sean Smith Jr., Nicholas Belcher, Damian Smith and Anthony Bell; great-grandchildren, Landon, Novalee, Elijah, Cayden, Zariah, Camden, Xavier; and by his former wife and longtime friend, Susan Smith

Family will observe private funeral services at Lasater Funeral Home.
