After a short illness, Dan D. Sayers Sr., age 78, of Utica, passed away on the morning of January 12, 2021.
He was born on September 8, 1942 in Buckeye Lake to the late Duane and Virginia (Bagent) Sayers.
Dan served in the Army National Guard and attended the Church of God at Bladensburg.
He is survived by his wife, Frances (Fowler); his seven children, Dan (Sherry) Sayers, Tammy True, Colene Mitchell, Christine (Matt) Schwartz, Bradford (Neeta) Sayers, Tyson (Amanda) Sayers and Phillip (Malonna) Sayers, a step-daughter, Tammy (Max) Wiseman; 15 grandchildren, and 19 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by two brothers: Eldon “Bud” (Sherry) Sayers and Roger (Ann) Sayers and many other extended family.
Dan was preceded in death by his first wife Colene Victoria (Thompson) Sayers in 2016, and brothers, Todd and Andrew.
Friends may call on Friday, January 15th, from 5:00 -7:00 PM at the Church of God of Licking County, where funeral services will follow at 7:00 PM with Tim Wilson officiating. Private burial will be held in Franklin Township Lutheran Cemetery.
