I am behind on sending my condolences.  I have been out of town and I am just catching up.  I did not realize Emerson was from Waterford.  I worked with him when I worked at City Hall and he was on City Council.

Emerson was one of the kindest and most humorous people I have ever known. He spent the last 20 years of his life as a companion to my mother, Frances Bartley, after my father passed away in 1999.  Emerson attended many family holidays in my home. He and my mother traveled extensively together, spending many winters together in Englewood, Florida.  Together they went on numerous Caribbean cruises and shared fellowship with friends near and far. Emerson was close with my daughter Savannah, who swam competitively for many years, with Emerson often cheering her on. Our family will miss him tremendously and send condolences to his children and grandchildren.
