Obituary

Evelyn Jaunita M. Chapman “Granny”, age 83, of Frazeysburg, passed away July 26, 2021 at Country Club Retirement Center. She was born April 17, 1938 in Osyka, Mississippi to Benjamin Franklin Turbeville and Victory Elizabeth (Bowman) Turbeville.

She attended the Perry Chapel Baptist Church.

Granny is survived by two daughters: Jerrie Moran of Frazeysburg and Deb Bowers of Mount Vernon; two sons: Ira Chapman of Frazeysburg and James (Lena) Chapman of Frazeysburg; 20 grandchildren, 39 great-grandchildren, one great-great grandchild and one on the way; one sister Patty (Jack) Griner of Jacksonville, FL and brother John (MaryBeth) Turbeville of Fredericktown; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Elmer Chapman, two sons Dwayne Chapman and Tony Chapman Bagent; two brothers Larry Turbeville and Bud Turbeville, and one sister Helen Goudy.

Calling hours will be held on Monday from 12:00-1:00PM at the Lasater Funeral Home, where the funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM. Burial will follow in Mount Vernon Memorial Gardens.

Memorial Contributions may be made to the funeral home to help with funeral expenses.
