Louise Fletcher, age 80, went home to Heaven on September 18, 2020 from her home in Butler, surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Caretta, WV on March 20, 1940 to Truman and Helen (Stone) Collier.
Louise “Meme” was a loving Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, Sister, and so much more. She had a servant’s tender heart and was called to care for others her entire life. A strong woman of faith, she loved Jesus, and attended the Trinity Worship Center. She was a wealth of knowledge, the family historian, our prayer warrior, our role model of a strong woman, and a rare, true matriarch. She was a voracious reader and loved to keep her sharp mind active playing Scrabble with her loved ones. She had a passion for music and bluegrass music was always a favorite of hers. She was a fashionista who outshined us all when she showed up in a beautiful array of colors, animal print, and sparkle. Her presence was and is irreplaceable.
She is survived by her loving husband of 15 years, Gordon Fletcher of Butler, three children: Susan (Dan) Taylor of Columbus, Tina Harmon of Columbus, and Nicole (Parker) Little of Lancaster; two step-children Lisa (Jon) Hall of Alaska and Gordon (Simone) Fletcher Jr. of Butler; 14 grandchildren Michelle, Sara, Scott, David, Rachel, Timothy, Alex, Kelsey, Christopher, Wyatt, Kearney, Kameela, Karee, and Cavan; seven great-grandchildren Isaac, Erik, Israel, Kalea, Lydia, Emma, and Jace; two brothers Richard (Deborah) Collier of Canal Winchester and Leroy Collier of Columbus; one sister Rhonda Louanglath of Lucasville.
Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her precious grandson taken too soon David Austin Taylor, a sister Linda Fletcher, one brother Truman Collier Jr., and one grand-dog Walker.
Calling hours will be held at the Trinity Worship Center on Thursday September 24 from Noon to 2:00pm, followed by the funeral service at 2:30pm. Meal to follow at the church.
