Margaret S. Greene, 72, of Walhonding, OH passed away on November 27, 2021, at The Ohio Eastern Star home. She was born on August 29, 1949, to Clarence and Anna (Moore) Craft of Columbus, OH.
Our mom loved Jesus. She taught us about Him, and she showed us how to lean on Him, in every situation good and bad. She loved the Holidays. She always looked forward to Thanksgiving, preparing a large meal, and the start of the Christmas season. Putting up the Christmas tree, listening to our favorite Christmas songs, and watching Christmas movies was probably her favorite thing, besides the grandkids.
She always loved music, and it was a big part of her life. We always had music playing, or we would sing in the car or in church. Back in the 70’s, my mom, dad, and her sister Dorothy, would travel to churches and sing while my dad played the guitar. Then later, dad, mom, myself (Amy) and Kim would sing in church together. Then before dad passed in 2001, they led worship at church for several years. One of her favorite things to do was go on drives in her car, with her favorite songs on the radio. She also loved crosswords, and other word puzzle books. She almost always had a book she was working on. And she loved and watched food network for hours upon hours. She loved playing games, especially card games. She was simple, but hilarious. Loved her family, especially the grandbabies, and would do anything she could to help anyone in need.
Margaret is survived by daughters Tina Craig, Gambier, Ohio, Amy (William) Blakely, and Kimberly (Timothy) Stevens, both of Walhonding, Ohio; Grandchildren Danielle (Duncan) Kariuki, Alicia (Spencer) Ansley, Ashley (Clay) Andrews, McKayla and Jacob Blakely. Stephanie (Brandon) Ruhl, Sean Stevens, Tristin (Madisyn) Repp, six great-grandchildren; a sister Phyllis (Ed) Sanders, West Point, Mississippi; many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by Husband of 30 years, Ernest Greene, both of her parents, brothers: Ossie and Clarence H. Blythe, and babies William Blythe and George Craft. Sisters: Zella Keaton, Marie Hartung, Ollie Weist, baby Elva Blythe, Dorothy Young, and Helen Powell; Son in law: Frank Donald Craig Jr.
